Here’s my Pap. Blaine Weston Hoover. (Doesn’t that sound so debonair?) He is by far one of the coolest people I know. He’s one of the reasons I love the Steelers so much. He used to play My Little Ponies with me and watch Footloose over and over and over again. He fought in World War II. He does a silly little dance we call “The Pap Dance.” He lives in Johnstown PA and my parents and I went to see him this weekend. I love sitting around and hearing all the stories about the good old days. This picture was taken at my Great Aunt Louise and Uncle Bill’s house. They can talk for hours about growing up together, high school shenanigans, and even grown up shenanigans. The best part is that I get to learn more and more about my Grammie. She passed away when I was around six, and I really wish I had gotten the opportunity to know her as an adult. But the stories are great to hear too!
